10 Self Generated Pages

HERE IS WHERE MY OWN CREATIVE COMES ALIVE:

PAGE 1: I turned my favorite artist, Salvador Dali into something modern and something I can better relate to. Instead of melting clocks, I did I-Phones.

Page 2: I did a picture of me talking in text-lingo. I used all different abbreviations that my generation uses. It goes along with my first creative page with the cell phones.

PAGE 3: I did a haiku. I put red lipstick on and kissed around the page to show the idea of infatuation or love.

PAGE 4: I did all different verbs/actions. I highlighted the word "LIVE" so that it would stick out. 

PAGE 5 AND 6: I just did one of my designs that I constantly use in my artwork. 

PAGE 7: I did a letter to myself in 20 years. I titled it "Hopefully" because I included all of the stuff I wish to have in 20 years from now.

PAGE 8: I am a huge fan of the game "Would You Rather" and am constantly playing it with friends. I am the master at coming up with good ones, so I included a page with some Would You Rather questions.

PAGE 9: I did my favorite quote.

PAGE 10: I did pressures from the society because that is an issue I am so passionate about. I included a positive message to make people smile. :) Everyone is beautiful for some reason. 

15. Identity

I was bullied and shared my experience and how it has affected me most to this day.

14. Graffiti

I just want people to know my name. I want to be famous and successful in life and I really want to get my name out there.

13. Self Portrait

For the Self Portrait I made myself into an atom. I called it "Tat-atom" which is similar to my name. On the page I wrote "The Tat-atom is a volatile molecule with many faces. Owing to its unbalance of protons and neutrons."

12. Collecting

I do not collect anything specific. If I had to say something I collected I would say friends. I have a handful of amazing people that surround me. I am extremely lucky. However, if I had the time, I would collect quarters.

11. Perceptual Cramp

The page should explain it all. When I get stressed I bounce ideas off of my friends. They always give great advice and I am lucky to have them. I included a picture of my friends for extra credit.

10. Found Materials

I got Chinese food and decided to make a drawing on Styrofoam.

9. Two Hand Drawing

This was so hard! I did a body. It was extremely difficult to draw with my left hand.

8. 3x3 Design

For the next 3 collages, I did one with words that I hear all the time from the media. The second collage I did all different books with it reading "Good Reads." For the third I did a girl with a scared look on her face, with all different medicine logos in a talk bubble. It is supposed to be like she is scared of what this society has come to. There is a drug for everything.

7. 3x3 Design

For another 3 designs, I did random collages on each pages. I made two on one page. One containing all different eyes, and the other containing all different lips. On the third collage, I created it on the Parameters page assignment on the cover. It was of a face, however with one eye.

6. 3x3 Design

On this page I made 3 different collages. On the first one I did all different fonts that were pink or white. In the second, the theme was flowers. And in the third is everything I would want to do or eat, if no consequences arose. This would lead me to be on "cloud nine," hence the picture "Spend the day on cloud 9."

5. Art and Life

In my spare time, I create art through trash. Literally. I decorate trash cans with my own trippy designs. In the book, I wrote "some of my friends call me Trashcan Artest". Thats because in my fraternity, my nickname is Trashcan Artest (like "Artist") because that is what I do. I included a picture of one of my artworks.

4. Where Do We Come From and Where Do We Land?

For this assignment I did a collage focused on the pressures from society on teenage girls. I admit, I too am affected by this. I'm constantly thinking i'm fat and that I need a diet. Stupid media!

3. Notion of Home

Home to me is not one particular place. It's wherever I decide to fall asleep. I've fallen asleep in all different kinds of places; my bed in my apartment, my friends couch, and even the movie theater. The picture in the book is me asleep in a movie theater. My lovely friends took it ;)

2. Self Exploration

For Self Exploration, I did a page on myself through the ages. I included different pictures of me from birth to current times. I attached them to a string so it could be like a time line. The string is pink because its my favorite color and there is only one string because I've only lived one life.

1. Parameters

For the Parameters assignment, I had to create my own page. I decided to create the page out some of the cover page. I used Styrofoam and wrote my name on it for the title of the book. I then sewed it using string. This book had a lot of meaning to me because it was a class textbook. I hated this book so I wanted to make fun of it some how; I included a talk bubble onto the serious guys face.
